About the job

We are seeking a highly motivated WordPress intern to join our team. The intern will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of various WordPress websites. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about the web and has a strong desire to learn and grow in the field.

Key responsibilities:

Perform WordPress Development & Customization based assigned tasks with ultimate compliance within allocated deadlines.

Performs tasks related to core web development scripting languages: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, and Bootstrap.

Perform projects of Web API and Web Services.

Implement Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to efficiently control the style of multiple pages on a website.

Designing and building the website front-end.

Creating the website architecture and concepts using multiple tools, like Visio, Adobe XD, etc.

Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.

Generating WordPress themes and plugins.

Conducting website performance tests, speed optimization, SEO, and cross-browser performance.

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree/diploma in computer science or a similar field.

Strong understanding of WordPress and its capabilities.

Familiarity with working WordPress themes and plugins.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow website design guidelines.

Familiarity with PHP, HTML, and CSS.

Experience with graphic design software such as Abode Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD.

Familiarity with the website development and website hosting.

Desired Criteria:

Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git is a plus.

Prior internship experience as a WordPress developer (optional).
